CVPR Honors Best Paper Recipients

Yesterday, conference leadership announced this year’s top paper honorees, including:

• Best Paper: Visual Programming: Compositional visual reasoning without training

• Best Paper Honorable Mention: DynIBaR: Neural Dynamic Image-Based Rendering
  Authors: Zhengqi Li, Qianqian Wang, Forrester Cole, Richard Tucker, Noah Snavely
• Best Student Paper: 3D Registration with Maximal Cliques

Of more than 9,000 paper submissions, 31 papers were nominated by Area Chairs for award consideration, and then those were whittled down to 12 finalists by the Senior Area Chairs. Ultimately, an appointed Awards Committee conducted a detailed evaluation and selected the final five winners.

“To realize that these recipients were selected from more than 9,000 potential candidates makes them all the more impactful. Clearly, these awards recognize and honor the groundbreaking work being done in the field of computer vision and pattern recognition, and it’s the developments showcased in research like this that will continue to advance and transform our industry,” said IEEE Computer Society (CS) President Nita Patel in a press release.
